Meet Kelly Kubrick

Kelly Kubrick is President of Online Authority and its lead consultant, delivering training in Digital Analytics, Digital Advertising, Writing for Digital and Digital Readiness. She co-founded and served as Chair of Digital Strategy Conference and co-author of the Six Dimensions of Digital Maturity Model.

Professional experience

Former Director of eCommerce Development with Time Inc, (previously Time Warner’s) magazine publishing division in New York, Kelly provides objective expertise and analysis to her clients. She helps organizations understand if their digital efforts are working for or against them, and what they can do about it.

Kelly’s online expertise stems from her years of experience in media and publishing, where she oversaw the planning, development and launch of more than 60 websites for such brands as In Style, Fortune, Entertainment Weekly, and Real Simple. She was a member, as well, of corporate task forces on initiatives such as joint Time Inc.–America Online Marketing, online customer service and email marketing. A former teacher, she developed and taught Internet courses to new employees.

Previously, Kelly was Director of Sales at The Voyager Company, a digital publisher in New York. In addition, Kelly sits on the Board of Directors of her family business, Morrison Lamothe Inc.

Education

Kelly Kubrick (formerly Cook) comes armed with academic credentials including an MBA degree from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and diplomas from the Radcliffe Publishing Course at Harvard University (now the Columbia Publishing Course) and the Centre for Executive Leadership at the Telfer School of Management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Victoria College at the University of Toronto.

Volunteer work

Born in Ottawa, Canada, Kelly is bilingual (French and English) and spends considerable time and energy giving back to the community she loves. In addition to her roles described above, she serves on the advisory boards of the School of Media and Design at Algonquin College and their programs for

  • Advertising & Marketing Communication Management;
  • Brand Management; and
  • Mobile and Social Media Management.
