Webtrends Web Analytics Tool Technical Training
Course Description: Webtrends Web Analytics Technical Training
As a web analytics tool, WebTrends offers exceedingly rich reporting and analysis capabilities. From early log analyzer days to today’s Webtrends Analytics version 9, Webtrends helps companies understand how much traffic their website is getting and where those visitors are coming.
However, that reporting richness is the result of a number of configuration options that will vary according to your organization’s unique environment. If you want to make the best use of the web analytics information that WebTrends can provide, “easy install” is not really an option. We can help. “Webtrends Technical Training” teaches you how to configure and customize Webtrends so that the application meets your organization’s specific web analytics reporting needs.
What You Will Learn about Webtrends Web Analytics
Whether your organization is running Webtrends versions 7, 8 or 9, is a software or On Demand / Live customer, or is using log files or sdc, this course will provide you with the kind of hands-on training you need. We will:

- Clarify the Scheduler vs. Scheduled Events
- Alert you to cricital pricing and license management issues - page count license status, updating components, etc.
- Show you how to manage user rights and privileges
- Establish how you can optimize Webtrends profiles using Filters, Pages, Files & Parameter Analysis
- Provide an introduction to advanced reports: Onsite Advertising, Content Groups, Scenario Analysis, SmartView, and Path Analysis
- Provide a brief review of Reporting Console user interface (for your end user audience)
Who Should Attend Webtrends Technical Training
Information technology (IT) professionals responsible for managing the WebTrends application and website managers and content producers who expect to become power users, including non-IT personnel who need to configure reports on behalf of end users. For end users interested in understanding how to run and interpret their Webtrends reports, we recommend ”WebTrends Web Analytics Training for End Users” instead.
The training assumes use of the most current version of WebTrends (v8.5); if your organization is using an earlier version we can adapt the training accordingly or discuss options to upgrade.
