By the end of the course, your team will:

Understand key Google Analytics concepts such as properties, views, filters and users vs. sessions;

Easily navigate Google Analytics reports, segments, dashboards, the calendar, exporting and help;

Differentiate what insights are available in Audience vs Acquisition vs Behaviour vs. Conversion (Goals and/or Ecommerce) report categories;

Learn critical analysis techniques: applying primary vs. secondary dimensions, advanced search/filter techniques, the use of annotations and attribution modelling;

Articulate the relative effectiveness of traffic sources, learn the fundamentals of campaign tracking (aka UTM codes) and the value of custom Channel reports;

Determine which Google Analytics reports are most useful to your expected outcomes; and

Establish reporting priorities so team members know where to focus their time.

  • Has completed “Google Tag Manager Fundamentals” training provided by the Google Analytics Academy;
  • Served on the Advisory Board of McMaster University’s Web Analytics Program;
  • Developed content for and served as an instructor of the University of San Francisco’s Advanced Digital Analytics program; and
  • Served on the Audit team of the DAA Course Enhancement and Education Committee for the Award of Achievement in Web Analytics at the University Of British Columbia.

How much does it cost?

$2,000.00 (plus tax) per one-day session (up to a maximum of fifteen participants), plus instructor’s travel expenses if the training is delivered outside of Ottawa, Canada.
